Anew have recently had the pleasure of working with Syntegral to maximise their interior at a new development in the Jewellery Quarter. Join us as we share our journey from showroom visits to the final installation, highlighting how an intentional office environment can significantly influence culture and brand.

Just like their dedication to their clients, Syntegral’s directors were actively involved throughout the design process. Visiting several furniture showrooms allowed us to explore different work settings, drawing inspiration from the latest trends and gathering ideas to tailor-fit their needs.

The barns - a dreamy canvas

With high, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, industrial glass partitioning, a sleek modern kitchen and exposed brick walls, an engineer's office never looked so slick! Centered around a courtyard and a bold yellow metal staircase, the building splits in to two wings and therefore two zones, one for focus via the open plan and private offices, and one for breakout and meeting rooms.

A Focus on Ergonomics and Aesthetics

Health and comfort are critical in any work environment. Syntegral decided that 1/3 of their workstations should be electrically height adjustable, encouraging the user to stand during the day.

We hosted various chair trials, and the Boss Sia chair came out on top due to comfort and style! Sia has environmental benefits too, made out of 70% recycled plastic (43% post consumer), uses fewer components than most task chairs and is assembled without adhesives. This makes replacing damaged parts more feasible, extending Sia’s longevity while also making it easier to separate and reuse or recycle components at the end of its lifecycle.

We utilised a colour palette from Syntegral's company branding, this included yellow and blue, with natural wood flooring, creating an environment that inspires creativity while remaining practical. The outcome is an office that impresses visitors and meets the daily needs of the team.
